چکیده

A six-pole Q-band waveguide filter with a notch frequency above the has been developed for plasma diagnostics. The previous paper [Nishiura et al., J. Instrum. 10, C12014 (2015)] reported that exists within standard band. In this study, newly required extends function, which prevents thorny wave from being mixed into an instrument beyond bandwidth of waveguide. mode control technique cavities realizes deep and sharp shape filters 56 77 GHz notches, respectively. former attenuation more than 50 dB at 56.05 1.1 −3 dB. latter 55 76.95 1.6 electron cyclotron emission imaging (ECE) diagnostics implemented pair fabricated demonstrated ECE measurement successfully in intense stray radiation gyrotron.

Notch Filter in 70 GHz Range for Microwave Plasma Diagnostics ∗ )

A notch filter for the rejection of stray light from gigahertz range heating sources was developed to protect a vulnerable microwave plasma diagnostic system. As one of the applications, we consider the installation of the notch filter into the receiver of a collective Thomson scattering diagnostic in the Large Helical Device. Experimental observations indicate that two types of notch filters a...

A Single-Chip Dual-Band 22–29-GHz/77–81-GHz BiCMOS Transceiver for Automotive Radars

Integration of multi-mode multi-band transceivers on a single chip will enable low-cost millimeter-wave systems for next-generation automotive radar sensors. The first dual-band millimeter-wave transceiver operating in the 22–29-GHz and 77–81-GHz short-range automotive radar bands is designed and implemented in 0.18m SiGe BiCMOS technology with of 200/180 GHz. The transceiver chip includes a du...

Design and manufacturing of high performance notch filters

Rugate designs for the realization of notch filters are well known in the literature. The required deposition of gradient index layers is difficult to manufacture. In our approach we apply the equivalent index theory to replace the gradient index profile of a notch filter design. We produce single and multiple notch filters with plasma ion-assisted deposition and broad-band optical monitoring. ...

High-speed notch filters

Introduction Active notch filters have been used in the past for applications like elimination of 50and 60-Hz hum components. They have proven to be somewhat problematic from the standpoints of center frequency (f0) tuning, stability, and repeatability. The advent of high-speed amplifiers opens the possibility of higher-speed notch filters—but are they actually producible? This article will sho...
